Ride prices are now capped around the real cost of the trip, so carpooling stays cost-sharing and not a taxi service.
Finnish rules are clear that carpooling means sharing the actual cost of a trip, not making a profit.
From now on, suggested prices are calculated from the distance of the route, and drivers can set a price within a fair range around that figure.
This keeps CavaRide firmly within cost-sharing rules and keeps prices predictable for passengers.
